Finally, you’ve created a digital marketing agency with a few clients. With growth, while you increase your revenue, you also have to bear the cost of more resources.

In this article, I’ll cater to this problem and provide you with some prominent techniques to get clients. By the end of this article, I am sure you’ll have some solid strategies to grow your digital marketing agency. 

Find clients using OLX

Well, this is just the beginner’s method of getting clients. Besides, you’ll only be getting local clients through this forum. However, if you’ve hired a helping resource to whom you have to pay monthly, you can rely on the low-paying clients you’ll get from OLX. 

I’ve explained this technique in the video in great detail. So, you can watch it to get the complete information. 

Here’s an overview of what you have to do. 

Sign in to your OLX account. 

Create an ad highlighting the services you’re offering. You can set the ad to be delivered typically, but it will have lower each. That’s why I suggest you spend some extra money and place your ad to be featured. 

With a featured ad, you can expect a few calls every day. Not all the calls will convert into customers. But expect a conversion rate of 10%. 

Another essential thing to note is that you shouldn’t expect these clients to be high-paying. But they can indeed provide you with the experience and cover the cost of your small digital marketing agency. 

Find clients on Facebook

The following method I will share to get clients for your digital marketing agency is through Facebook. Within Facebook, you can use two different techniques to get the right clients. These include the organic method and the paid method. 

I’ve discussed both of them below:

Organic Method of getting clients through Facebook

The organic method is simple; you don’t have to pay to get clients. One thing to note is that no matter whether you use the organic or paid methods, your account has to show some social proof and brand presence. It is possible through continuous posting for 10 days at least, and it will give your audience an idea that you’re in the business and aim to work in the long run. 10 days is just the minimum to get you started. You must continue posting to keep the audience in the loop. 

So now, when you have proof of your existence, let me get to the actual work. 

In the Facebook search bar, find the specific industry you want to target. It could be anything that interests you or the one you have experience in. for example, I’ll be taking real estate as an example. 

Once you get the search results, select pages from the top menu and set the filter to a particular location. It could be anything from the United States to your local city. Now you’ll have a filtered list of pages created for the specific niche. 

Analyze their pages and look for the gaps that these pages currently have in ad creation and social media posting. Once you’ve those gaps figured out, contact the page admins and discuss these issues and the impact they might be creating on the current performance level of the business. Propose your services as a help and close the potential clients. 

Not all the approached businesses will be interested in getting your services, but depending on your communication skills, you’ll be able to get new business for your digital marketing agency. The video below explains the entire process in detail. 

Getting clients through Paid Facebook Method

As a digital marketing student, you must know how to create ads and target the required audience. However, you can use this technique to get business for any niche. 

So, I’m explaining this process again. 

First, you’ll need to create your social media presence with regular posting. Now create an ad account (if you don’t have one already). Within the account, click on create to add a new campaign for the business. Name your campaign, ad set and ad. 

You can select the campaign objective depending on your target niche. For anything that doesn’t sell instantly, you can keep “messages” as the objective, and they should provide you with the potential leads you can convert. 

For the budget section, put the daily budget to Rs. 1000

Now comes the targeting options; you can get the most leverage if you know what areas of society you’re targeting and what your potential clients look like or do.

Getting clients through Instagram

Getting clients through Instagram is similar to Facebook’s organic method. But you must ensure that you must be posting regularly before approaching any of the potential leads. 

Once you start regularly posting on your account, use the industry-specific keywords or hashtags in the search bar. You’ll have a list of businesses offering that particular service. 

Now analyze their current social media accounts, ads statuses and other essential details to find if they’re using the best techniques or have gaps in their offerings. 

You can use the value-focused technique to pitch your services to these businesses. However, you must focus on improving their business instead of highlighting your experience in the field.

Getting Clients through LinkedIn

LinkedIn is one of the least explored resources for getting clients. So, let me tell you one of the ways you can get your clients without paying anything. 

In the LinkedIn search bar, look for CEOs, co-founders, or other executive-level titles. You can filter the location depending on your target geographical area. 

You’ll have a list of people with such titles. Start adding them to the connection. Usually, people accept connection requests as it is a forum designed to increase your network. So, even if they don’t know you, they’re likely to get in touch with you. 

Continue adding such people to your network. And keep posting about the services you’re offering. Don’t forget to take the value-based approach. You’ll be building your presence in the minds of the people you’re targeting. Once they need digital marketing services, they’ll know that someone in their connection is already offering them.

So, they’re most likely to approach you. This method might take a long to get you the leads for your digital marketing agency. But it can indeed offer you quality, high-paying clients.

Getting Clients through Fiverr

Well, being an owner of a digital marketing agency, you cannot leave any table unturned to get more clients. Fiverr is one of the main forums where you can access international clients. 

Set up your profile and create 7 gigs with different elements of the entire digital marketing process. It will increase the potential of getting more clients. Do not forget to do proper SEO of your gig to make it stand out. 

One pro tip you might have heard from different people but still question its legitimacy is staying online. That’s my personal experience: you can increase your gig’s ranking by manifolds when you stay online. It is because of the “online” filter that Fiverr offers to its buyers. 

If you would be online, you’ll have more impressions and higher chances of generating clicks and orders. 

Getting clients through Upwork

Just like Fiverr, Upwork is another forum that lets you acquire clients. You need a fully optimized Upwork profile to increase your chances of getting jobs. Find the jobs that match your interests and field to apply from your feed. 

The proposal on Upwork is the most important thing. Many people struggle to write good proposals. You must keep in mind that your proposal must not be a copy-paste one for all the jobs. 

You must go through the job post, write a customized proposal and engage the potential client in valuable talk.

Getting clients through Google

One of the other ways to get clients for your digital marketing agency from Google is to open Google Maps. Decide on the niche that you want to target your clients from. It can be anything from a specific e-commerce store niche to a service-based business. 

Choose a location from the US, UK or other Western countries. So, within the Google Map search bar, type “business niche in the state”. As an example, I’ve taken “driving school in California”. You can watch the video below for more clarity. 

Within the Google Map results, you can open the individual business website and social media handles. Analyze the current problems in these assets of a business, find the business contact details, ad send an email highlighting the issues and the right way to solve them. 

This is a lengthy method where you might have to contact 50 businesses from where you can close 1 client. But as this method is free and getting even one client can give you an international experience. So, you can try it as a beginner or a new agency to get all these benefits.
